How to choose a domain

A domain is not only about finding you on the internet, it's also (or even more) about expressing your identity and brand. We're lucky enough to live today when finding and buying a domain is quite easy and affordable.

Here're some tips on how to choose or make up a domain name:

1) Use keywords related to your site content.

The first recommendation is to have a domain name consisting of the words that people will use to search on the internet. Together with quality content and good user experience, this will give a higher rank in Google.

Try to choose a domain name that describes what you offer. 

2) Brand it.

If you have a brand name, use it in the domain. If possible, combine your brand and a keyword. For example: 

• alex + therapy -> alextherapy.com - this domain tells us that the site belongs to Alex who provides therapist services.

3) Consider your location

If your primary target is local customers, you can add information about your location to the domain. For example:

• domain like newyorkcafe.com will tell us that this cafe is located in New York. 

4) Keep it short, easy to pronounce, and spell.

Make it easy for your potential customers to remember your site link.

5) Avoid numbers, specific characters and marks.

It will make your domain hard to remember.

Setting up domain in Inita

By default Inita websites are generated with domains hosted on Inita and with your business name that you submitted on our registration wizard: yourbusinessname.inita.pro You can keep it as long as the domain comes out to meet the above recommendations. 

The site link might appear too long, however, if your business name consists of several words. You can change it to your liking, and Inita has two options to choose from:

1. Connecting your own domain. 

If you don't have a domain yet, you can buy one through us. The purchase is quite straightforward and takes couple of minutes.

If you're not ready to get your own domain, you can stick with Inita's site link and customize it: change "yourbusinessname" part that comes before .inita.pro.
